Mag. Mag. Doris Posch

Doris Posch studied Theatre, Film and Media Studies and French and Francophone Studies at the University of Vienna, the Université de Montréal and the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She also studied Critical Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Her thesis focuses on Cinema of Relations in emerging film cultures from Haiti and its Diasporas. From 2015-2019, she was a fellow of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and a Marietta Blau fellow. From 2015-2016, she was Visiting Scholar at New York University and at Concordia University Montreal. Since 2017, she is a lecturer at the University of Vienna and since 2021 at the University of Art and Design Linz and the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Doris Posch is also a film curator and co-founder of the Vienna-based CineCollective. Since 2019, she is co-director of the open-air Urbanities Film Festival Kaleidoskop.
